More People Age 65 and Older Seeking Plastic Surgery in the U.S.

Not so long ago, plastic surgery procedures such as breast augmentation and liposuction were thought to be commonplace amongst celebrities, not your average Americans. However, statistics prove that more and more people in the U.S. are seeking plastic surgery, including a large number of people who fall into the senior citizen demographic.

Recent statistics show that over the past few years, the number of people aged 65 and older who are going under the knife has increased. In fact, in 2010, over 84,000 people in that age group chose to have plastic surgery.

One report states that many people who are considered "baby boomers" want to have plastic surgery so their bodies match how they fill on the inside – youthful and energized.
