American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Predictions for 2011

In 2011, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery released several predictions for trends this year. The predictions made by the organization were based upon interviews with leading plastic surgeons throughout the nation. Some of the predictions are listed below:

With the improvement of the economy, there will be an increased demand for facelifts and facial rejuvenation procedures.

There will be an ongoing demand and increase in cosmetic injectables such as Juvederm and Botox. Additionally, new injectables will enter the marketplace.

As people catch on to the dangers of obesity and awareness of this problem increases, so too will the demand for surgical procedures like body lifts, abdominoplasty, and arm lifts (brachioplasty).

More women from the baby boomer generation will seek corrective breast implant surgeries because as they age, so too do their implants.
