of the face. Since people’s faces vary widely in size and shape,
facial implants come in many different sizes and styles to improve the
proportions and contours of the face.
A lot of people opt for chin implants because they have a receding chin,
and they dislike its small appearance. Some of the causes of a receding
- Arthritis of the lower jaw bone.
- A portion of the jaw was removed due to mandible cancer.
- Dental problems, such as overcrowding or abnormal positions in the teeth.
- Congenital defects, which caused a receding chin since birth.
If you have a receding chin because of genetics, arthritis, or dental problems,
you may want to consider a chin implant. On the other hand, if you wish
to enhance your cheeks, cheek implants may help you achieve the look you
desire. Often, patients consider cheek implants when their cheeks have
lost fullness due to aging, or when they simply want to “improve”
their facial fullness or appearance.
Alternatives to Cheek Implants
In addition to implants, other options include fat grafting and injectable
products, such as Radiesse, Sculptra, and Voluma. For patients with sunken
