How is Juvederm Administered?

When people choose to have Juvederm, the procedure is not too complicated.  During procedures, the Juvederm gel is injected with a syringe into the mid-to-deep dermis of people's facial skin.  The dermis is a deep layer that contains nerve endings, sweat glands, oil gland, blood vessels, and also connective tissue.

Once injected, the Juvederm gel improves peoples' appearance by lifting and adding volume to existing wrinkles.  After about six to nine months, the compound, which is biocompatible, is naturally absorbed into people's bodies.

Many people who choose Juvederm report that it leads to a smoother and more natural looking appearance than other types of injections.  It is also believed to last longer than older types of facial treatments for wrinkles.
