A new study that was released indicates that the number of Americans looking to have cosmetic surgery has increased as the economy has made some improvements. Experts say that now that the economy has improved, more and more women are feeling confident about spending their money and feel comfortable investing in their appearance by obtaining procedures such as liposuction and breast augmentation.
Some experts even say that the recent increase in the demand for plastic surgery could be a sign that the recession has ended. Now, woman who spent the past several years trying to save as much money as possible are pampering themselves with cosmetic procedures.
Back in 2008 when the economy was stagnating, reports indicated that the number of plastic features performed suddenly decreased. One doctor went on record to say, "When the economy first took a downward turn, the plastic surgery community as a whole basically shut down. People were down 50 percent, and were just struggling to get by."
