Why Youth is Good for Business

With advances in technology, more businesspeople are having to be in front of clients via webinars, Skype, and FaceTime. Whether your face is broadcasted to potential clients in San Diego, New York City, or China, it can either attract them or repel them because right or wrong, it’s human nature to judge people by their appearance.

Gone are the days when we dealt with long-distance clients via the phone or mail only. Instead, we’re talking to clients over Skype and FaceTime on a regular basis.

While this advanced technology allows us to conduct business with clients all over the nation, and the world, it’s also putting the spotlight on our appearance more than ever before. We don’t just have to “look good” for clients on occasion, we have to look our best every day.

Of course, you should be valued for your knowledge, expertise and quality of work, but the world is not fair.

Many CEOs admit that in some fields, Baby Boomers are being aged out of the workforce by younger competitors. Meanwhile, Generation Xers are starting to show signs of aging, and are finding that they too, need a competitive edge over college graduates.

You know it’s impossible to change society’s view on youth and beauty in business. So, what do you do? You find ways to improve your own appearance to remain at the top of your game, and to land those big clients that you need.

Reverse the Signs of Aging

Now that you’ve decided to explore your options, what type of procedure is right for you? Since people notice the face initially, your first line of defense is likely a liquid facelift, which combines fillers with injectable Botox.

Of course, a traditional facelift may be an excellent option, but it depends on whether you can take a hiatus from your job or business for a couple of weeks.

Patients love Botox because it relaxes the lines created by repeat muscle contractions. Then there are gel fillers, such as Restylane and Juvéderm, which are the perfect complement to Botox.

Fillers plump out the areas that form deep lines and crevices, such as the marionette lines that can extend from the nose down to the chin, along the outside of the mouth. The liquid facelift can take years off your face in just one visit to our office.

To get the most anti-aging benefits out of your first procedures, Dr. Yuly Gorodisky recommends Botox injections to relax the wrinkles between the brows, and to smooth out the horizontal forehead lines. He also recommends fillers to fill in the deep lines around the mouth.

These are general guidelines for someone who is new to aesthetic surgery, but to get a clear idea as to which procedures are right for you, you’ll need an individual case assessment from our Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Yuly Gorodisky.

If you’re seeking superior results, contact our office to schedule a consultation with our Oxnard plastic surgeon.
