If you’re unhappy with the appearance of your nose and you’re considering a nose job (rhinoplasty), we recommend looking at all of your options, which include non-surgical rhinoplasty (a non-surgical nose job).
Do you have just a little bump or a little indentation that’s bothering you? If so, a non-surgical nose job may be an excellent choice. With a non-surgical approach, we use a filler, such as Juvéderm or Voluma to smooth out the nose and make it appear softer and straighter. What’s great about this procedure is it can be reversed if you don’t like it.
Non-surgical nose jobs can be a great choice for patients who wish to smooth out a bridge or a hump. For example, if the patient wishes to smooth out a hump, we can add filler above and below the hump to create a smoother appearance. When we add filler to the tip of the nose, it improves tip projection, shape, and symmetry. Juvéderm or Voluma can be injected into the columella to rotate the nose tip upward, or it can be used in the nostril rims to help turn them downward.
How Long Do Results Last?
The longevity of a non-surgical rhinoplasty varies depending on the type of filler used. Typically, we’ll use Juvéderm when a patient is just starting out and if a patient decides to continue with non-surgical nose job treatments, we’ll transition to Voluma. Hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Voluma and Juvéderm last about eighteen months.
“Am I a good candidate for a non-surgical nose job?” If you would benefit from additional volume or projection, you’re probably a good candidate. On the other hand, if you desire to have a smaller nose, you may not be the best candidate for this procedure because technically, non-surgical rhinoplasty adds volume to the nose. It doesn’t subtract from it and if that’s what you want, surgery may be the best option.
